796 - Bordenville. 2000. tombstone. William R. Milligan was born in Ohio. Came to Colorado in 1889. He married Belle McCartney, daughter of William and Cynthia McCartney in1891. Their homestead in South Park was the beginning of the Milligan ranch. William and Cynthia McCartney were born in Ohio. They came to Colorado from Kansas by covered wagon and ox team in 1866. They lived first in Breckenridge, later near Denver. In 1872 they came to this valley and homesteaded at the junction of Tarryall and Michigan Creeks. They are buried here with four of their six children. Source: Eve Kuenn
